As National Ministries plans a national youth ministry agenda for American Baptist Churches USA and provides resources for adult leaders of youth ministry, we seek to share the message of God’s saving grace through Christ with young people within the framework of their youth culture.
Youth ministry gets life and meaning through discipleship and evangelism. We recognize the consistent witness of adults within a faith community as a primary influence of faith development in youth, and we encourage youth to respond to God’s invitation to a personal relationship with Christ based on God’s love, rather than out of fear or manipulation.
Committed to empowering youth to serve Christ, we offer training experiences and opportunities for servant leadership and ministry. Our programs and resources are developed to show that the gospel is not simply meant to be spoken, but to be lived.
National Ministries also advocates for children and equips American Baptist congregations with information and insights about the sort of discipleship that nurtures children and their families. The inspiration and tools we provide and the connections we foster transform lives, families and communities through the discipleship process.
