A New Church?
Are you thinking about planting a new church? This is a good thing. Many new churches start because one person has a vision. You may know of a group of people that you have a heart to reach who are not currently involved in an existing congregation. You may have identified a geographical area that is under-served by existing Christian ministry. Or you may see a segment of the population that is off the radar screen of existing churches. Do you have a vision?
It takes more than vision to get a new church started. And it happens best when more than one person is working at the task. New churches start more effectively when a team works together. A single voice may be heard by a few, but several voices together can be heard more widely and powerfully. A single presence is better than no presence, but the presence of many persons can begin to affect an entire culture. A single person can give all of his or her energy, but not accomplish as much as a team of persons who are working together to achieve a goal focused by a clear vision. Do you have a team of persons? How will you gather them and lead them?
These are some of the critical issues that a potential church planter must face and address. As you explore the articles found on these resource pages, they will help you clarify what God is calling you to accomplish at this time.
Please call or write. We look forward to talking with you about this journey of faith called “church planting.”
