ABHMS Encourages Participation in “Faith Advocacy Day”

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 3/28/13)—American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) encourages American Baptists to participate in “Faith Advocacy Day and Rally for Comprehensive Immigration Reform” 8:00 am-5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 10, in Washington, D.C.

The schedule is as follows:

8:00 am   registration and breakfast at the United Methodist Building, 100 Maryland Ave. NE;
8:30 am   advocacy training;
9:30 am   meet in delegations to plan advocacy visits;
12 noon   lunch at the United Methodist Building and afternoon advocacy visits; and
3:00 pm  interfaith prayer and rally on the capitol’s South Lawn.

Rally sponsors include the Service Employee International Union, Casa De Maryland, NAACP and Interfaith
Immigration Coalition.
